CK, Legace just doesn't have the fire in him. He gets down on himself too much. He's a good goalie and all but he just doesn't have that inner fire that makes a great goalie.

I just really havent gotten going with hockey this year. after a major pathetic season last year, it almost makes me sick to think about a possible repeat of that.

But I think my "fire" would be a bit hard lit too, if I played for as many years as Manny did...only to be down played by fading carreers.
I woulda been down right pissed off about the whole HASEK ordeal.
Manny got 1.....count that, 1 season as a Starter...and he took us all the way to the post season (with some but little help from asgood).
Then Illitch and his "G/M" piss him away.
When they brought Osgood back, Manny had a better GAA and more games played by years end than asgood OR hasbeen.
He's not the save all (nor ever proclaimed), but Manny has ALOT to offer St.Louis.
I'll be watching as many BLUES games as I can, just cause I know Manny does have it in him.

hell you should hear the commercials here trying to pump people up about hockey again. they saying they are going to be the hardest working team, with the most pride and integrity. never say once they're going to do anything to make the Blues play better, just that you should be proud and support them no matter what. screw that, win some games and play well and I'll be proud, not just because they have integrity or whatever they are saying. the commercial sounds as pathetic as the Blues have been playing

Man, you could almost tell that something really messed up was going to happen when they put Jones in...... I was thinking, "shit! Rogers has pretty much 100 pitches in and all he needed was MAYBE 12 more to finish.......LET HIM! couldn't have turned out much different.
I didn't watch game one at all, I have NO faith in Verlander, and he showed the entire world WHY!

3 diferent times he was warming up, only to never make the mound. They said he was healthy, no problems w/the wrist.

CK, from what I understood, Zumaya was only on deck if Rogers crapped out earlier. Since Rogers went (most) of the distance, they didn't want to waste Zumaya for one inning.
I agree, they should have just left Kenny in. At least he would have fielded better than Jones. [img]wink.gif[/img]
